Well I was told all was good two years ago and then about two months ago it was not. It was denied on the submission and so I had them re-submit which the office girls were not going to do!!! But my ortho had words with my surgeon and it got resubmitted and it took about a month in the appeals dept ...

Hiya All! :-1 I got approved!!! Finally! Yay! :jump: (…now I can finally start to think about my surgery and freaking out how painful it is going to be!) :-(( I just got over a surgery almost two weeks ago and that sucked! I was totally out of it for 12 days in pain and that was an “Easyâ€

Thanks guys! I fell calmer now…still mad but calmer. :? I have my appt w/my ortho on 11/07 and I will let him know what is going on and I will call my OS on Monday again and see if they have heard back on the resubmit yet. I have decided that once the whole back and forth is done and if it ends up...

Surgery!?!?!?!

Ok, this is horrific! I went in to the surgeon and all went well. He said everything was ready for the surgery when the ortho said go…all he had to do was submit the insurance again…b/c he told me when I decided to do this that BCBS would deny me the first time but then he would resubmit it and ...

ghostmyimag3, Well that is convenient! All in one. I have a dentist, ortho and OS so I am all over the place. As for the long adjustments, my ortho always lets me know ahead of time what is going on so I know how long it will take. He will tell me if I am getting brackets worked on or something so h...

Thanks a lot guys! :-1 That makes me feel better! I had dry socket when I had my wisdom teeth out years ago and that was horrific so maybe this will not be so bad :D I guess I will just count on a couple of weeks and maybe if I can’t talk well they can give me other work to do. I am not going to w...

Longest Adjustment Ever?

So what has been your longest adjustment experience? I went in for my 17th adjustment the other day and every adjustment so far has been a quick 10 min job, in and out! Not this time. I had my mom with me and I told her it would be real quick and we would be on our way. Not so much! It took a hour!!...

Informing Employer?

So how did you all go about telling your employers you were going to have jaw surgery? How soon before your surgery did you tell them? How long were you off work? My job involves talking for 8 hrs a day! (Can you even talk w/a broken jaw?) I am anticipating a lot of pain w/this because I hate...

I was sooo hoping to lose weight because of braces but braces themselves did not do anything to prevent eating :( I have had no pain at all from my braces. I read all this hype that they would hurt going on and the it would be sore or that you could not eat this or that but none of that is true :rol...

Sorry about your bunk adjustment! I chew gum all the time. Sugar-Free of course. My ortho told me I should though. Said it was good for the blood flow and to help w/any pain from adjustments. Glad he gave the ok because I would have anyway. I was a smoker and now I am a chain chewer so there is no way I can function w/out gum!
