I agree on Hilary's horse teeth. But she did mention in an interview that she had chipped some teeth due to the microphone when singing. :? Seems silly to crack your teeth that way. Maybe it's just a BS excuse she's feeding the media.

I've got the same profile as your wife, and I've always been self-conscious about it. I'm not in the same situation though. My protrusion is mostly due to teeth flaring out. Good luck to your wife.

That third pic is a bit misleading. That's what it looks like from the inside of your mouth. Nobody sees my crib unless I open my mouth and tip my head down. You can faintly see the metal peeking through when I smile, but that's only because of my spacing.

Not that weird. I have one in my mouth at the moment. Only difference is mine is placed on my lower teeth (usually it's banded to the uppers) because it would interfere with tooth movement.

I wish treatment was done sooner. Not for the braces, but to correct my abnormal swallowing. Which in turn screwed up my teeth. Now I'm in my mid-20s with a tongue crib in my mouth that's supposed to correct two decades worth of not swallowing properly. Which makes me afraid of relapse. Unfortunatel...

I have spacing and an open bite as well.

Yes to your second question. I just got elastics and the two little bags I got are of different strengths. H4 (4mm) and H6 (6mm).
