Re: INPUT NEEDED: New Message Board Ideas???
Anybody??? Hello and happy New Year. It will be interesting to make boards especially focused on before-after, because we use to be afraid of some risks during the treatment but seeing before-after gives you good advices for treatment choices. For example a lot of people is afraid of bicuspid extra...

Re: New Here - Braces at 43
Good luck with your treatment. As you are allergic to latex you will need to get special elastics. Hope that all will be okay

Re: Teeth tipping during alignment stage?
Hi I'm just curious. Is it common that the front lower teeth starts to tip inwards when it's aligning during the first few months of braces (esp if you got extractions)? Will this be corrected eventually (i.e. by flaring the teeth out a little)? Typically at what stage of treatment? I heard it will...

Re: Are they overcorrecting my underbite?
Sometimes a little overcorrection is not a bad thing because it is a way to reach the results you wanted with more stability. That was what arrived to me but in my case the upper teeth have been moved slightly too far back. Usually wearing for a month elastics on the opposite configuration you used ...

3 years after debracing : a definitive result
I have been debraced for 3 years now so I can say that my results are definitive. So I just want to talk a little what to do after the treatment, to keep your teeth how they were the day of the debracing. Firstly : wear your Essix retainer and clean very precisely as well the Essix as the fixed ones...

Re: Finishing Phase/Retie
Anyone know what a "CK FINISHING PHASE/RETIE" appointment is? What are "finishing elastics?" Are they somehow different than elastics in general? Will I find out if my braces will be ready to be taken off at the next appointment during this appointment? As I finished my treatmen...

Re: Expanding vs Extraction?
Hi! It all depends how looks your profile and how crooked are your teeth. Extractions are not always the solution as they are not always a bad idea. I opted for extractions and I think that they were compulsory for my case. The convexity of the profile decides the pertinence of the extractions.

Re: Extraction gap closure time
Mine took almost 2 years to close. My left canine took a long time to move toward the molar, once it did, it didn't take too long close the rest of the gaps. Mine also took 24 months (I had 4 premolars removed because of bimax protrusion) despite of the rubber bands and the power chains. I agree th...
