HAVING SCREWS REMOVED

Thank you to everyone who replied--I took one round of antibiotics and the swelling and pain subsided. Saw my OS on Friday and he says that I still have swelling and the dark areas at the base of the screws are still there. Has anyone had inflamation around the screws?

I am 9 weeks out from lower jaw surgery and genio and still pretty swollen on the right side. During the last couple of days I've had pain on that side with more swelling. Thanks for your reply--yes, I have a blender ready and waiting. As for the bruising, my surgeon has already explained that I will have substantial bruising from about mid neck down onto my chest area :( . Hi, Lioninthelake-Nice to hear from another Arkansas who is starting the same journey! :) I got my braces Monday, Jan 9th and still adjusting to the feel of the "grill", but feeling much better about it. Surgery expected next January. Do you have your braces now? :?:
