Braces a second time, risky?
I am just wondering if you do get braces again is it risky for the enamel? Is the glue and bands gonna harm the teeth? I am just wondering cause it seems like doing it twice may cause the enamel to weaken or show those white spots.

He didnt mention it specifically, but he did say that it would feel loose. He also kept putting it in and taking it out to perfect it, so i assume he saw what position the wire was in. I did mention to him that my canines seem to be a little out of place, so i was thinking maybe the wire doesnt touc...

Please help with question
Hey everyone, I went back to the ortho to get my retainer fixed because i felt that the last adjustment was way too tight and it pushed my canines back a little too far. Anyhow, he made the top hawley really loose to the point that the wire doesnt touch my canine at all... is that normal? I am think...

Totally frustrated!!!!
I wrote a post about how my retainer was really tight and how I felt it was changing my bite after almost a full year of being in retainers with a perfect bite. Well, the retainer is changing my bite and I went to the ortho yesterday and told him to check them and he said they were okay but I know i...

Thats a little scary... so the molars will gradually grow down?? Doesnt that look weird? I would think it'd be odd that some molars would be longer? I didn't even think of that. Mine haven't really grown and i've had my braces off for almost a year now. I am wondering if maybe they met before my las...

I have one side that does meet but the other side does not meet. Im hoping that once my teeth settle that they will meet. They are not very far apart but still do not touch. Your ortho said that after settling they will meet eventually? What does that mean? The retainer would settle and the teeth wo...

Hey there! Denise is right. When I had braces my teeth appeared really discolored due to shadowing caused my brackets. Once my braces were removed, those shadows went away and my teeth looked white again. I would just use a good toothpaste, maybe a whitening toothpaste and that usually helped my tee...

Retainer to correct bite?
I am just wondering if its possible to correct minor bite problems with retainers? I had braces and now have a hawley retainer and i wanted to know just in case my bite does reopen, what my options are. I know that retainers can help straigten slightly crooked teeth but what about bites? How do reta...

Hey Chris, With my retainer, when i first got it, my bite and teeth changed. Not too dramatically but still they looked different from when i first got my braces off. I don't know why but when you first get your braces off, they change even when you do wear the retainer.... i thought i was the only ...
