So the palate expander expands your upper/lower palate. It pushes the two holds of your mouth to create space. I have a very small mouth and I have on. It's only been two weeks with it.

So I had spacers for 3 weeks. After the first week of having them they fit my bands and then put them back in. So two weeks after that I got my palate expander didn't hurt at all only had a little bit of a lisp. Braces only hurt for a couple days. I know your wondering how I know but with experience...

Take like soft foods like doughnuts, pudding, jello, sugar free gum. Depending on how sore your mouth is you could take crackers and chips but I would definitely bring water.

It's nothing to worry about I just got a palate expander and I hate the dentist. Just remember you will have a beautiful smile in the future
