Re: HELP! Lefort 1 impaction ruined my face!
Hi fixmenow. The maxilla can be brought down again. I'm in a very similar situation as you and have to go throug another surgery. I think your nose is going to get a lot better when more time has passed. Mine has gotten more normal but far from how I want it to look. You can pm me if you would like ...

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
Hi lostfaith I was just thinking of you the other day! So you're having the operation in one week! These meetings with new surgeons takes forever to get. But I've had one with a surgeon in my hometown. He has referred me to a great hospital in my country where they specialize in facial reconstructio...

Re: Maxillary Impaction with Only Minor Gummy Smile
I personally would not recommend you doing it. Your nose will not only be upturned but also get wider. It can also change your cheeks and affect the height of your face. Where did you get that? My nose is exactly the same as it was pre-op. Okey good for you Snapdresser. I unfortunately speak from m...

If it wasn't necessary from the start, then 3 mm is a lot.

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
Nbaglo, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know how you feel. It's like walking around with a face that isn't your. Or at least that's how I feel right now. I have spoken to a surgeon and he says that the maxilla can be down grafted. I will need a bone graft. But it can be done! I don't understand...

It's good to have someone near the first five days. Good luck with the operation.

Re: tooth implants
I got implants around 15 years ago after an accident. I was awake when they operated me. You get something that relaxes you and then some needles for numbness. If I could've chosen I would rather had been sedated. But the process was quick, and the recovery was quick. Swelling only like three days w...

Re: Time off post surgery - doable or delusional?
The surgery affected my whole body afterwards for quite some time. I took time off from my job for four weeks I think. I could take short walks the second week, but I was really swollen and blood kept dripping from my nose (!) constantly. So it wasn't fun to be out in public. I would recommend three...

Re: My daughter had double jaw surgery and it has all gone wrong!
Lostfaith, I know, it's worrying me. But I've been in contact with a surgeon which really think this can be fixed, but I will need bone grafting. I really hate the situation we are in. I live in Sweden, but was operated in Britain. At that time I couldn't get any help in Sweden, but it was important...

Re: DEVASTATED - Just Told I Require Full Revision of Bi-Max Surgery
Hi guys, I am also having a redo of my surgery. The surgeon placed my maxilla a few mm off center, and removed a lot of bone. The operation was supposed to make me show more teeth, and now it looks like I don't have any. This has also made my nose really different and I show very much of my lower te...
