Is anyone able to make an annoyingly high pitched whistle sound with their braces? I'm able to do it by resting my bottom lip on the bottom of my top braces. It's so amusing and fun to do the high-pitched whistle in the middle of class. :oops: I'm sure going to miss it, though, because I GET MY BRAC...

So i had an adjustment this past thursday and my ortho gave me elastics for a second time (he ordered me to stop using them for a time). He told me to wear them ONLY at nights, but there anything wrong with wearing them during the day instead (and not at night)? HE ALSO GAVE ME SOME GOOOOOOOD NEWS! ...

Ok, technically it hasn't been a year but it will be on tuesday so i have a couple more days until my anniversary. First off, I would just like to say to anyone that is contemplating braces -- when i first got them on i thought one year would take FOREVER and the process was just going to seem endle...

I have good alignment on top, but when i put both my top and bottom teeth together, my bottoms are far away from being aligned.

I haven't started any rubberbands or whatnot. I just got my bottoms on last month, so i guess my ortho just wants me to adjust at the moment.

I got braced on December 19th, 2005 and just now took a pic of my progress.

Kind of off topic but i've heard that if you don't brush before eating, the bacteria in your mouth goes down with the food that you eat, which makes it a slightly higher chance that you could get diabetes.

Don't hold me against this, because it's only what i heard.

braceface1230 - I have to get my lowers on as well. I'm not sure as to when, but i go in for my first adjustment on Monday so i guess i'll get them then! You know, to be honest the spacers really didn't bother me as much as my braces did. I had the same thing happen to me about how the kept popping up so i would just lodge them right back in with my fingernail. People say that spacers are worse than braces...but i think the first couple of days in br...

I just got my braces put on yesterday, and nothing seems to be working right. I have a cold sore on my lip that isn't healing at all...and to top it off, these braces are killing my teeth. I didn't think it was going to be this bad! I have wax pretty much on every bracket because it's poking my skin...
