I thought i was supposed to change them once or twice a day, but it doesn't look like i have enough of them to last until my next appointment. I have to have them on because of an overbite, tkais.

Hey! I just got elastics and my mouth hurts soo bad. I'm afriad I'm gonna eat all the time just to take them off. Are you supposed to use the same band until it breaks or do you put new ones on each time you take them off? Do they stop hurting after a while like your teeth stop hurting after a while...

The first 5 days or so are painful...but from then on it doesn't hurt nearly as bad.

I agree with Wingnut. You should check with your orthodontist. One time mine came off and they wanted me in within a week but other people's probably dont matter as much.

i cant bite down in the back either because of that stupid glue that they put on my teeth so that i couldnt. oh and i got my top and bottom braces on at the same time so i coudl like bite off my braces accedentally when i first got themon if it werent for the glue, but now i can bite down on them ag...

my teeth hurt for a week after wards and then the cankersores were really bad for another week and then it was just normal cankersores that dont pop up very often. a hint for the canker sores is to use wax and what really helps me is to use this tooth paste called Sensodyne. hope your not in too muc...

i got my braces abouyt four months ago. They didnt hurt at first, but then they started to hurt really bad whenever i ate ANYTHING and at random times later. don't worry...you'll get used to them. When you first get them on they hurt for about a week but when you get them tightened it gets bit short...

i have a huge overbite. My othodontist puton all of my braces on at once and then put c=glue on two of my teeth so that i can't bite down too hard on my bottom brakets. I dont' know how he's going to get them to come back if my bottom teeth are in the way though!

i haven't had braces for long.
i get them tightened on december 14.
They aren't awful...you get used to them!
its the worst when you first get them
