Its normal I think. When I first had braces which was a year ago, I didnt feel anything. There was no need for pain killers but after a few months, my teeth started hurting after adjustments ( could be due to thicker wires).

You might not feel anything right now but it would hurt later.

How long did it take for the gap in your bottom teeth to close? I am curious coz my ortho also removed my lower incisor becoz of overcrowding and when I talk the gap show which bothers me a lot.

Mine dont as well . My Ortho said that it will be the same after my braces are off too becoz the problem is with my lip rather than my teeth.
