Yes. My bottom teeth were in fact a tad crowded.

The braces are to be off in about 2.5 weeks, so hopefully things progress from there.

Is it because of gum receding or showing roots?

I have 3 more weeks and my braces are coming off, and I noticed the gums around the bottom front four teeth are starting to recede and have the dreaded "black triangles". I wonder if this is a viable option.

"Black triangles" the most common complaint probably on adult ortho cases. This is part of the aging process that implies that you have a greater than normal distance from the contact of 2 teeth to the level of the bone. It's not caused by bad orthodontics at all. We never see this on tee...

I went back in today to get something done about it. He ended up grinding the two ridges off the top of the two front botom brackets, which gave me more clearance.
