Will I know before my appointment that my braces are coming off or could I go to an appointment and be debraced? Mine are for cosmetic reasons and at my last appointment my dentist said I was 90% there. Just wondering if my retainer will need to be moulded etc first?

I still don't like them but my teeth are starting to move which is making me very happy!

Hi, I got my braces fitted two days ago, they're only on my uppers but still really interfering with eating. I've noticed that they don't look quite as bad with the wax on, can I stick wax to the brackets and wire to make them a bit more discreet? Or should I just accept the brace lol.

Thanks good to hear it gets better and I know I'm doing it for the right reason s (I hate my teeth) just feel really unattractive and worried my fiance thinks I look ridiculous.

I had ceramic braces fitted today, the wire is metal and they feel huge in my mouth. I'm in pain and starting to regret getting them fitted. I'm sure it will get better but need to moan, I've spent 2k on something that I hate. I must be mental waaah.

I'm a woman and getting braces but not noticed any gender bias. The patients at my dentist are both male and female.

Haha thanks, I think I'll have the hardest time adjusting to them, I doubt many of the people I see ona daily basis actually care. I just want them on now!
