Hi everybody! I'm new to here. I just got my braces put on a little more than a month ago and I'm having a love/hate relationship. I didn't think my teeth were moving at all until I did a side by side comparison and I wanted to share it with everybody.

It took about 2 weeks for the pain and sores on my gums to go away. Nothing really seemed to help besides cold water. Not to mention, I did not know how to eat AT ALL. I lived off soup and mashed potatoes. It's been a little over a month and I still can't eat "normally" but i see improveme...

Every six months is what my insurance covers.

I didn't think mine were moving either until I took pictures and compared them side by side. Try it out, you'll be amazed. :)

The first two weeks were the worst for me. I was in tears at one point because of the pain but mainly hunger because I couldn't eat LOL. But it really does get better. Ice cold water was the only way I felt relief.

I've gotten pretty good reactions. The majority of people who see my braces and have known me even before I had them on, tell me how great I am going to look when they are removed which helped me feel less awkward about having them on. I have the clear ones so it's not too noticeable unless you stare

Oh gosh, I get my elastics in a week and these comments scare me. :(

I'm trying to take daily pictures too to do the same thing. Very cool. :)

I just got my ceramic braces about a month ago. I feel like they have already stained or maybe it's just me staring at them too much and convincing myself of that lol! Is there a way to get rid of the stains?

My bite plate was the hardest part of braces to get used to. I began to regret getting braces because of the bite plate actually. My speech was so slurred and I had a sore on my tongue from them. But I noticed that over time, the plate started to naturally wear down and now I don't even notice it's ...

21! I felt so weird at first being an "adult" with braces but then I realized how many adults have them and now I don't even realize I have them on. :)
