Re: Lip Damage after SARPE? (pic included)
I don't see this "damage". also 10 days POST OP? That is way too early to complain!

Re: Please, anybody's Have Pre-existing fatigue improve AFTER?
YES - surgery would definitely help this issue. From what I hear you have a recessed lower jaw tightening the airways. This isn't uncommon, but for some people its severe. If this airway, which rest behind your lower jaw kind of in your throat was tight enough, it would cause you sleep deprivation, ...

Re: Any facial changes a year post-op?
Hahaha! Oh my god I feel you! I had surgery 3 months ago and I look different in pictures. I used to angle my face a certain way to take pictures cause I had a really strong jaw on one side and a weak on the other, but now that I have symmetry (though I wanted that) I look completely different and t...

Was Lower Jaw push-back not a good idea?
I had lower jaw surgery about 4 months ago. They pushed my lower jaw back for my underbite, but I now feel like this didn't quite make sense. My lower jaw obviously grew to accommodate my tongue, airways, and jaw joints, now that it is pushed back I feel all sorts of strains with my lips and my mout...

When did your numbness go away?
I am almost 2 months post-op. And my left lower jaw is still numb. It's annoying! Most people say 6 months? I guess there's no point in asking, but I am curious for anyone out there. Did feeling come back to your face? If so, when? And was it gradual

Re: Starting to freak out
Remember that you likely lived with that bite you had for years. This will help you breathe better, sleep better, smile better, and chew better. You may not FEEL better but its a journey.

Re: Starting to freak out
I am in the same predicament right now my friend, but on the opposite end. I had an underbite. A lot of it is the muscles adjusting. You can change the bones. but the muscles must be retrained. Most people have discomfort for a while. I am having to undergo a lot of elastics and orthodontics to fix ...

I am scared Post-Surgery
I had lower jaw surgery about a month ago for an underbite. I waited for months to have the surgery and saved all the money I could to have it. The time came, I had the surgery and I suffered through the recovery. I suppose everyone kind of suffers the same way, but I had gotten a stomach bug on day...

Asymmetrical Jaw
I had a couple of questions for anyone who has had an underbite and asymmetry issues. My right side is stronger then the left side, being it's more prominent and filled out yata yata. But could it also be the left side isn't weaker, but the right side is actually overly strong. Who determines which ...
