I have been able to get everything I need at Wal-Mart and Target. Wal-Mart seems to have the best selection and I am usually there a few times a week so that is where I tend to go. I know wal-mart has the interdental brushes, waterpiks, threading floss, and soniccare brushes.

I have had my braces for a week today and my ortho sold me a waterpik for $20.00. I like mine a lot, I have a attachment for massaging my gums and it seems to help. I have been using it 2-3 times a day and really thinks it helps keep my teeth in the back clean.

I got ceramic tops Monday of this week. I have them on 6 teeth on the top, and from the beginning it seemed my lips had a much harder time fitting around the ceramic brackets. I can tell I am gradually getting used to both kinds, but it is seeming to take forever. I am happy with the choice I made, ...

Hey everybody I got braced on Monday and am strating to adjust. I ate out for the first time today at Taco Bell, and was very nervous, but survived. I have military insurance through United Concordia and they cover until you are 23 years old. I just got the insurance and it goes into effect 2 weeks after I was braced. They are picking up even though I was braced prior to coverage, and they will cover $70.00 a month. I turn 23 this summer so it w...

I have 4 bite plates and just got braced yesterday. They put a bite plate on the back of each of my front teeth, and one on each of my top back molars. My ortho said this will help protect my teeth so they don't hit as I chew.

I would really appreciate some tips too. I am so scared I will not get mine clean enough. I have a 3 minute timer, and right now I am on Christmas break so I am using my waterpik everytime I eat. Any advice is helpful.

Kelly's Journey - updated 1/28 1st Adjustment!!!!!

I got braced yesterday December 19, and all went well. It is the beginning of my 18 month journey, and going pretty well so far. I went in and it took less than a hour, they used metal braces, with ceramic ice brackets on my front 6 teeth. The process itself was painless. They put 4 biteplates (not ...

I don't have to have spacers before my braces go on so I don't know a lot of information about them, but I think its only if you have severe crowding in which they can't work around it. Kelly
