I forgot to mention above that I felt a great deal of pressure during the procedure, no pain though. I don't know if that is normal but it is something I never want to go through again.

Gums Trimmed

I have not posted in a long time. I had my braces put on in December. My ortho referred me this week to get a frenectomy (not sure if that is spelled right) and they had one appointment yesterday, or in September, so I got it done. The doctor ended up doing the fronectomy and trimming around 6 teeth...

http://www.fluoridealert.org/fluoridation.htm The above site is a site we researched in biology this semester. This site is against flouride and they have some pretty good points. In our area in Missouri we do not have fluoride in our water. The water district I live in serves most of our town of 20...

Upgrade Today

I have been using the basic sonicare and today at wal-mart I found the sonicare intelliclean i8300 which had been marked 132.47 on clearance for $60.00, it was the only one so I jumped on it. So far I love it so much more, it had the quadpacer function, the crest inserts, and a much smaller head. Ju...

I have a crown on a tooth in the front and I have a ceramic bracket on it, when I got braced my ortho was not too concerned he just made a note and used a special glue on that tooth to bond it with. I hope that is does not mess up my crown. I hope to find out the answer to this too!! Thanks, Kelly

Adjustment January 26

I just wanted to let everyone know I had my first adjustment. I broke a bracket off on my lower teeth a week ago, and went to get it fixed. My ortho said that since they will be repositioning the brackets in two visits anyway they would just leave it off for now, and do my adjustment a few weeks ear...

I use Colgate Total most of the day, then my prescription toothpaste before bed. My dentist highly recommends Colgate Total.

In my orthos office he has about 7 chairs lined up and most of them are full when I am there. He walks around and supervises and they try to keep you with the same assistant most of the time.

I read that post now, thank you. So I may try and use it before I brush from now on and see how that goes. Has anyone had good luck using this for a while?

Crest Pro Health

Has anyone tried the new Crest Pro Health. I bought a bottle and am not happy at all. The mouthwash klumps up on my teeth and I have to rebrush my teeth after I rinse. I don't think it is worth using. Let me know if it is just me, personally I am going to start using Listerine again I know it works.

My frenectomy will not be done until closer to my braces being taken off. I have been told that currently it costs $230.00 through my general dentist. I was checking into having it done now but my ortho said maybe in a year or so.

I have ice ceramics on the top front teeth and I really like them. They are more clear than white so it don't make my teeth look strange. I would check with your ortho and see what kind of ceramics they use so you can look at some pictures online.
