Hey everyone... post pics of your beautiful straight teeth...

i created this thread so people can display what their teeth look like after braces and i didnt want to search every single thread, so this is like a cumulative thread.

it sucks b/c my teeth are yellowish after 6 months of braces....

is there any way to make them whiter while being braced? I mean i do brush 2 times a day...


also, is bleaching a safe method after i get my braces off? Is it safe for teenagers?

I didnt have any gaps in my upper teeth either, but I've had a powerchain on for about 4 months now. It actually caused gaps in my teeth, because it was pulling them back. I think it basically pulls your teeth into the right position, in accordance with the other teeth that the powerchain is attach...

The pain is normal and should go away in 2 or 3 days with the elastics... if you just got your braces on, the pain will be probably 1 week or so....

yeah, i've experienced this before.... it goes away after you get your expander removed

if it's really bothering you, have your ortho adjust it somehow

i have a bit of an overbite,... i wonder if powerchain helps improve my bite

.. yeah, it's weird since i dont have any spaces between my teeth, so why would i need a powerchain>=?

I don't have any gaps in my upper teeth but my ortho said i will need powerchain on my uppers next appointment...

why would i need a powerchain when there is no gap to close?

do powerchains also straigten teeth or something?

Hey, if you're mostly worried about what other people might think of you if you have braces, don't worry... From what I've experienced, people don't really "care" that you have braces because it's almost a normal thing to have these days... braces is a tough at first since it's painful for...

I am around 5 months into my treatment and my ortho decided to give me elastics today... i have a triangular shaped elastic on my right side and a box shaped on my left...

it hurts a lot right now... anyways, what do elastics do? and what do the specific shapes do?
