I've gotten what your describing sometimes but it goes away. Only had my braces 2 weeks and the dentist said I also do not have any cavities and I've been brushing and flossing all the time. I just put oit down to maybe the brace is warm and because the waters cold and the tooths sore there reacting...

I take magnesium each day and calcium tables and vitamin d to keep my jaw healthy while wearing the braces. When I say too old I'm 31 and would have been more game to do it in my teenage years or early 20s if my mother could have afforded.

Waking up with lock jaw?
Is this normal and how can I stop it as it takes ages to unclick. I have braces and two teeth missing from the top to fix an overjet. Is lock jaw normal to get with braces??

I had two teeth removed from my upper jaw a few weeks ago. I was just as scared. It wasn't as bad in the end as all the fears I put in my head and I now have braces on. Did he remove teeth because you have an overjet? I have same thing, (braces were put on today) however I had to remove 2 teeth first to bring the front back to compensate for my smaller lower jaw. Apparently it can take a year or more for the gap to close up. I wouldn't panic yet.
