Your chin is pretty pronounced for a woman (post op). I won't sesame you. If you're considering genioplasty, you should go for it.
All of my friends told me my underbite shouldn't bother me. I only gained peace after the decision to go for the surgery.

Re: What surgery should I get to improve my profile?
I think lower jaw advancement, because the chin has a nice form and is popping out. You should really consult a maxillofacial surgeon to get the correct information.

Re: Is it possible to get braces after jaw surgery?
You need to normalize your jaws before the surgery in order to maximize the gap of the teeth before the bone re-positioning. I've seen a few of cases where there were no braces used before the surgery; a couple cases were Lefort I; and one case of double jaw surgery (in which both jaws were advanced...

Re: Struggling to be Optimistic!!!
Ask questions and be assertive. You're a paying customer, and deserve to know what's going on; 31 months is too much. Did you make sure the treatment is a prep for a surgery? Because the in the preparation is supposed to worsen your bite and give maximum gap for the surgeon to work with (moving bone...

Can braces expand the palate?
My upper incisors are crowded and have proclination (teeth bulging out). I had a sarpe, more than a year ago and had my maxilla expanded 8 mm, but my palate is still crowded. I complained to my orthodontist about it and he said that he's working on it. My question is whether braces, damon self ligat...

Re: SARPE - Keep getting conflicting info about closing the gap
I had sarpe and had the expander for 6 months. In my case the gap started closing with the expander on.
And in most cases I think it's supposed to get closed by itself. Maybe in your case the expander won't allow it to happen. I don't know, I think you should ask the orthodontist.

Re: Infection after SARPE
I had an infection after my sarpe. It took a few sets of antibiotics to cure it. I had this nasty red slime coming out of the wound, and the wound culture showed I had Klebsiella oxycota bacteria in there. Go see a doctor who's an expert in germs and infections. It's gonna be alright. Just take care...

Unhappy with my sarpe results (and orthodontics)
Hi, I live in Israel and had sarpe done more than a year ago, and my arch was expanded 7 m"m. I also have double jaw surgery planned in the future to fix my class III bite. What makes me unhappy is that my upper palate is still crowded, the front of my palate didn't expand like the back of my p...
