Re: Crazy4Snow's Path to a Perfect Smile
The filling is becoming compromised and it's too large to drill out and replace with a new filling. This is just a small filling, with almost 0% risk of breaking even if it had endodontic treatment. If it had endodontic treatment and you got money to spare thant go for it and get that crown but if ...

Re: Crazy4Snow's Path to a Perfect Smile
You'll notice that I've had the 2 implants and crowns completed on MY left side, now I just have to get the 2 remaining implants on MY right side done as well as a crown on my last molar on that side and I will be DONE!!! Very inspiring to see :D but you don't need a crown on your 47 (m2inf), even ...

Re: I got them!
Got my braces today. All metal. I'm officially part of the club. Yayyy! Process was somewhat easy. The braces feel really weird, like I have a mask on my teeth. That's the only way I can think to describe them. I'm trying to eat (soup) & that feels weird too. I feel like I don't want to chew &a...

My parents never took me to the dentist. I mean, i went only once in my life when i was 5 and that was only because the school made my mom take me. (Now im 21 going for a deep cleaning cuz i need it bad) And now my twin brothers, she has never taken. So i took them, now at age 10. My question to yo...

Re: Can braces expand the palate?
My upper incisors are crowded and have proclination (teeth bulging out). I had a sarpe, more than a year ago and had my maxilla expanded 8 mm, but my palate is still crowded. I complained to my orthodontist about it and he said that he's working on it. My question is whether braces, damon self liga...

Re: Need your input - should I move central upper incisors down?
It depends a bit on your image or how you want to come across, like this you will look older, more mature, confident and powerful with slightly longer central incisors you will appear younger and more feminineLittleSern wrote:I thought I had, must have forgot to! Added it.

Re: Are my teeth getting worse??
I can't comment specifically on your cases but i know that they sometimes try to evert teeth to make space align and invert back again, they seem to stick to this general sequence: create space, align, close gaps, correct bite, torque roots

Re: Massive problems with teeth sensitivity - can they stand IPR?
That always happens with erosion, molars are somewhat round and have a contact point but get more rectangular with erosion and the contact point becomes an ever wider contact plainDinkytinky wrote:By the way my teeth are so packed together that I cannot even floss between them.

Re: Massive problems with teeth sensitivity - can they stand IPR?
If he really really needs that space I would opt for an extraction of an incisor . I have very sensitive teeth too and have tried most products on the market and I would dread them becoming even more sensitive Were your teeth crowded before? What I notice with people with severe erosion is that thei...

Re: Teeth/retainer cleaning regimin
Thanks for the quick responses. I'm sure I'd rather err on the side of cleaning more as I am almost positive I will be on 24/7 wear for a year as well. This is my second go round in braces and I'm trying to go above and beyond, since my ortho isn't very communcative. I already use a flosser, but I'...

Re: Braces being fitted this week
This is a quick introduction so that I don't get thrown off :D . I'm having braces fitted for the first time this week at the age of 49! Top braces are being fitted initially with bottom braces following on a few months later. Very nervous and reading the forums I'm worried about being hungry. Soun...

Re: Second Braces Journey at 25
I don't think the Hawley retainers can cause a full relapse. I don't think an overjet could come back, for example. I think my overjet only came back when I stopped wearing the retainer entirely. However, if there is room for your teeth to move sideways in your mouth, if the extraction gap is still...

Re: Underdeveloped maxilla (top arch)
Had a very narrow palate before braces (but thankfully it was mostly dental) so things have really widened out with just archwires alone. I was researching palatal expanders prior to braces and I'm glad I didn't go with that option. My top arch has widened slightly due to teeth lifting. But when yo...
