Re: Trays have chemical smell and taste

that does sound like- I have noticed that they changed the packaging material, but not the trays themselves. Best to check with your ortho- we are wearing the trays for such a long hour, so it's better to find out whether it's safe...

Re: too much ipr done- freaking out

I don't think legally the ortho needs consent from the patient to do IPR, but it would have been nice if your ortho told you about this before hand..... The IPR shouldn't cause any pain (some ppl experience mild pain when it was freshly done). I wonder whether the pain relates to the IPR or it's sim...

Re: too much ipr done- freaking out

I can see why you are upset....they don't seem much difference from the picture... Speck is right - check your clincheck when the gap is supposed to close....My experience is that closing a gap usually is easier to fix compared to fixing crowding/crook teeth... I had a much wider gap than yours, and...

Teeth feel very tender whilst waiting for trays

Hi I am currently taking a 2 weeks break whilst waiting for my refinement trays to come. My ortho told me to wear the current trays at night only (to give the teeth a break), my teeth feel very tender when the trays are out for a long period.... Is this going to get better? or should I pop the tray ...

Re: On 2nd refinement set

Thanks Dr Tam & Liner. @Liner, keep me posted of your progress. Mine has overbite issue too, and I was told it can't be fixed perfectly because of the size of my teeth, orelse I won't be able to close my mouth.... How long have you had the treatment? Mine just over a year and I am getting very i...

Re: Treatment time doesn't make sense.

Hello

You will usually do a few rounds of treatments...so once you finish the first set, they might scan your teeth again to refine it until you are completely satisfied with the results....

On 2nd refinement set

OK...I am on my 2nd refinement set (that means I have 3 sets in total), and from the clincheck it doesn't look like this is going to be the final one)...

What are the maximum refinement stages? are there unlimited untill we are happy with the treatment?

I am slightly worried now....

Front teeth not straight

Hi I am at my refinement stage and my purpose of fixing doing braces is to fix my front teeth so that it's 'straight' (e.g. if I touch my teeth all way round, I should feel it's smooth rather than 'bumpy' especially at my two front teeth and the tooth next to them). I am a little surprised that the ...

Re: Wear trays at nights only whilst waiting for refinement sets

I'm not sure about the scanning with the attachments on, I know I definitely get mine removed when I get rescanned next month but I'm not sure if they will remove the attachments before or after. My orthodontist told me I will only have to wear my tray at night time also whilst waiting for refineme...

Wear trays at nights only whilst waiting for refinement sets

Hello everyone I've just scanned my teeth again (with attachment on) and waiting for refinement set to come in. My ortho asked me to wear my current trays (which I have been wearing for 2 weeks) at nights only until the refinement trays arrive, he said it's good to give a break to the teeth. My ques...

having cough and invisalign

Hello

I am having terrible cough at the moment, I used to be able to 'calm' the cough by eating sore throat sweets, but obviously I can't have any sweets with the aligner on.

Anyone has any experience how to cope with this?

Thank you
