I have 8 molar bands. My ortho doesn't like using them, but my maxillofacial surgeon requested them. I felt sorry for the assistant who had to place them. I currently have 8 molar bands installed. Has anyone else had this many before? Also my Ortho said she will install 4 eyelets ( I think that's what they were called) does anyone have any experience on those? I get nervous at the orthodontist office and forget to ask more questions sometimes :(

Same as the the other person said, they are absolutely horrible and pure torture at first but then you get used to them. You just have to adapt to a new way of eating. I've had them on for two weeks! :D

I went back to my ortho yesterday and told him how I felt and he shaved down the molar buildups and it feels a bit better. But you're right, I'm sure I'll get used to them with time!
