Me! It’s my second revision third surgery for a le forte 2 piece and bsso.

Surgery was completed on 09/26 - so far the recovery has been VERY smooth and the follow ups positive. Currently banded shut for 6 weeks.

Thanks! Why did you have to have yours revised? How has your recovery been? I will say the second time has physically been much easier for me, except the banding, but far more anxiety producing!

I play women’s ice hockey on a non-checking league and my surgeon absolutely will not release me to play until 12 weeks. Keep in mind we have full pads and a helmet with a cage. My ortho thought that was a bit excessive but told me to trust the surgeon.

The prescription mouthwash can temporarily stain your teeth and the lack of hygiene is a factor as well. Just do what you can for now and rinse your mouth after the mouthwash to minimize impact. I’m so glad!! I’ve been wanting to ask. Don’t forget your warm compress - it helped me with the spasms. I just sleep with a heating pad and switch sides throughout the night.
