Molar band aggravation, please advise for relief

A few weeks ago I mentioned I had to get molar bands. However they were preceded by spacers and today I got the bands installed. One is fine, the other is aggravating me. It's not sharp like being poked by a wire but feels rough to the point it's really irritating my tongue. I've tried to put wax on...

Re: Molar bands

Believe it or not, I use the clear silicon swimmers ear plugs. I had difficulty with the wax and found this a much better option. And you can eat with it on your brackets. There is another option that I've tried called OrthoDots. It works really well but more expensive than the ear plugs. Hope this ...

Re: Molar bands

Well I'm back from the orthodontist with spacers which have to stay in place for two weeks. My teeth were too tight/close for the bands. I was advised if they came off before two weeks, to call the office. My ortho said my mouth would be sore but so far so good.

Re: Molar bands

My appointment is this week and I found out I may have to get spacers before the bands go on, depending on how tight my teeth are. I'm anxious as I want the bands to prohibit the brackets from constantly coming off and I'm nervous because of possibly having spacers done as I've heard how uncomfortab...

Re: Molar bands

Thanks Exia Unicorn. I was told I may have to get spacers before the bands but it was dependent on whether or not they could easily place the bands. If difficult, they will place spacers then the bands. I'm anticipating the spacer pain. I

Water Flosser

I am interested in purchasing a water flosser, specifically, the Waterpik. For those of you who use it, which style of the flosser would you recommend?

Molar bands

I've been in braces since May and have had brackets come unattached a few times. I have crowns and those areas are where the brackets are coming unattached. My orthodontist said if they came off again, she was going to install molar bands. Anyone ever had molar bands? If so, what was your experience?

Re: Appointments

Just this week I had my first adjustment after getting my braces in May. It was an eight week appointment. My wires were changed and my next appointment is in ten weeks.
