Fever and achey
Did anyone else get a fever and get really achey all over when they got their braces on? I got mine Wednesday and yesterday I had a fever of 102 and felt like I had the flu honestly.

Re: New braces
Today was the day... braces consultation happened and braces are on... I am not as excited as I was before getting started but I know this will be good news... I'm also probably going to have elastics for basically my whole treatment time which bums me out a bit... 16-20 months of treatment time. No...

Re: Retainers vs braces?
I should rephrase... I wasn't diligent enough in wearing them so they did hurt because things had moved. I didn't wear them because I took them out for my morning coffee that I finished around 11 and by then would figure it was close to lunch hour and then snack at 2 and then before I knew it, I had...

Re: Bite turbos
I had bite turbos in my first go around with braces... mine were actually huge mounds on the backs of my top front 2 teeth. That was absolute torture and I thought I had made a mistake... I never didn't mind them but they sucked less after a few weeks and the Dr took them off about 3 months in.

Re: Elastics
I kind of want elastics, at least short term. I figure if I'm going to have braces I might as well have the whole experience!!!

Re: Consultation
Thank you so much for your responses! I had one more question... i know i dont want invisalign because i think i would be lazy about wearing it. His website says clear and metal are the same price but i had convonced myself i would be ok with clear only being on top to save money, to the point that ...

Re: Hello!
The Inman aligners look cool! And so fast! You must not have needed much movement??? Does the aligned help with your bite at all or just alignment.

Re: 'Ello! (Newbie here)
I'm in the same boat as you were in your original post... My consult is Wednesday morning and we will see what they say... excited, nervous, anxious, eager When I set mine up they said to allow extra time and they would potentially get me started on the same day... then I also get to be self conscio...

Re: Retainers vs braces?
I found braces to be easier... The issues with retainers is the same as invisalign. You take them out frequently and then you have to remember to put the back... braces are just there... And also because of that I thought braces were more comfortable. I will say that depending on the type, the clear...
