my top braces are off and I go back in 3 weeks to pick up a retainer the only thing is I think my top two front teeth the gap is opening and slowly the way it once was and I wont have a retainer for another 3 weeks so what do I do?

Hey,I've had braces for 10 months now and my ortho used a powerchain to close the gaps and spaces in my teeth and this month another orth thats his partner took the powerchain off and put regular individual rubberbands and now the gaps and spaces are opening agian.t seems like that month was a waste...

I was told 12-15 months a while back I still have some time to go but things seem to be good.

Well thats good news.What ever it takes to make them get in the right spots.

I been braced since for about 2 months or so and my teeth are looking way more spaced out and alot more gaps in places i didnt have before.The thing is it's not the back its all teeth in the front so it doesn't make sense.Do orthos do it on purpose?

So will gum slow down the process of moving teeth with braces or screw eveything up? My ortho told me not to chew any gum but its addicting and I love gum.Is it really that bad?

My ortho said no gum and a lot of my friends chew gum with braces about 10 people I know say they do it everyday and i tried it...its not bad at all so what’s the reason they say i shouldn’t chew gum anyone here do it?

My ortho made it sound like its impossible to do ceramic and metal he doesn’t seem very flexible I’m sure metal will be fine but man these spacers are annoying its only for 2 more days.

well today i got my spacers in it took 5 mins and i feel fine.i asked my ortho about getting front ceramics and back metals he said no way is he doing it . its one or the other and doesnt seem like he likes options its always this way or that way he basically said quit being a baby and get metal so ...

He also said he doesnt do bottom ceramics isnt that werid?

My Ortho told me $500 added to price of metal for top ceramics but i wonder if he ment all of the teeth i hope it will be less money for just the 6 teeth and the rest metal.

Anyone hear of the doing ceramic braces on the front teeth (that are seen) and metal in the back? Does that work? is it cheaper then all ceramic? and do a lot of Orthodontists offer it?

How many months is head gear worn my overbite is somewhat bad but not 100% covering maybe 70% of upper teeth covering.
