Re: New Ceramic Braces + Staining

I get my gums professionally deep cleaned every three months due to a prior history of early stage gingivitis (now in remission for a number of years). They usually clean and polish my teeth at the same time using the high speed polisher gizmo typically used as the last step at a routine dental clea...

Re: Decision time - Damon clear vs. Damon metal?

It is definitely a difficult decision to make. I don't mind the look of the metal (easy for me to say since they're not in my mouth yet) and if it's going to be easier come time to remove them then I'm all for that. But on the other hand I feel like I may be taken more seriously in the corporate wor...

Re: Decision time - Damon clear vs. Damon metal?

This was very helpful to know, thank you. Hope your experience is going well in spite of the unexpected bracket yellowing. Are you a coffee or tea drinker?

Decision time - Damon clear vs. Damon metal?

Does anyone know which makes your teeth look less yellow (mine are already fairly yellow from 20 years of coffee drinking)? Is one more comfortable than the other when it comes to the brackets rubbing on the inside of the lips/cheeks? I have a deep overbite and am anticipating this being an issue. A...

Re: Bite turbos and teeth grinding?

I'll be getting front turbos that will be bonded behind the upper two front teeth (!). I was hoping for the molar build-ups as those seem a little more reasonable and not like they're going to break off from clenching. Do you have an overbite? Glad to hear the build-ups are helping you through the n...

Re: The older you are, the faster time goes - better 28 than a teen!

Hoping the first eight months move quickly, that's how long my turbos are estimated to stay on for (I'm getting everything in November, just in time for Thanksgiving <<< eye roll >>>). Trying to stay positive, chunks of time (six months...eight months..) definitely fly as an adult! That will be a go...

Bite turbos and teeth grinding?

Hi! I am new here and will be getting Damon clear with bite turbos behind upper front teeth in a few weeks. I clench/grind my teeth at night (usually my teeth touching/clenching are the first thing I notice when I hear my alarm go off in the morning). Ortho says turbo will help open the bite so this...
