I have a skeletal open bite deformity . I'm supposed to be getting upper and chin surgery I'll ask about lower . But do you guys/girls think getting it fixed will improve my life .

Would this maybe improve my appearance ?

They did that already . What I'm saying is why didn't they tell me if I needed upper, lower, or chin .

But why didn't they tell me what I need done . At the first impression ? The maxillofacial didn't even say anything to me . He just looked at my face then dipped .

Surgeon said it's a dentofacial !

I've stopped the mouth breathing . But is it true that the only way to fix my teeth/jaws would be with braces/surgery ?

How Mouth breathing effects the face ? I use to breathe through my mouth as a child . So I have a long narrow face . With a skeletal open bite .

I don't have treach Collins I just have an skeletal open bite . So my face is kinda narrow and long .

Is SARPE sometimes preformed on the lower jaw ? To fix a cross bite ?

I got approved for inpatient dentofacial surgery . But I don't even think my orthodontist talked to the oral surgeon . Aren't the oral surgeon and the orthodontist supposed to work as a team to get case's like this fixed ?

Will Going from bad tounge posture to good tounge posture and from mouth breathing to nose breathing change the way I look ?

I talked to my surgeon he's the one who diagnosed me . But I'm thinking of switching orthodontist . It kinda seems like he doesn't care about me .

Everything's wrong with my face all people do is call me ugly as hell . Hopefully this surgery can make me avg looking .

I know braces will fix flared out teeth and surgery will fix long face . But I still don't see how just a lefort 1 would fix the narrowness of my whole face .

Will it correct the long narrowness of my face ? I'm not trying to be perfect . But my self-esteem is destroyed because all people do is call me uah . I just want a avg look at best . I'm not expecting to be a supermodel .
