My entire treatment was covered by my insurance at a co-pay cost of $2500. For that, I've had twp RPE devices (still wearing the second one), full braces (upper ceramics at no extra cost) and retainers will be included. I have to pay $15 for every office visit, plus $75 every quarter in insurance pr...

Well, its officially been one year as of today! I still have no real idea when he expects they'll come off - they'll be done when they're ready! Not too much to update though, just getting there slow and steady with the bite. I did get new powerchains on the lowers today [3] to [3], and they're feel...

Well, its a been little whilst since I updated - but not too much has been going on. I went back this morning for an adjustment, and ended up being there about an hour. My favourite thing is that I got to floss and clean with no wires in, which was quite a treat! I then got a fresh wire on the top, ...

You'll be really surprised at how quickly you'll get used to the new hardware, I'm on my second expander now and I really don't notice it at all. Its a bit annoying for the first few days, but within a few weeks - you'll be talking just fine and will learn to eat without getting food smushed up in t...

Hi Britt, I have upper ceramics, metal lowers and a fixed upper expander to compliment the setup! I really have never noticed any difference between my ceramics and metals, metals may be slightly smaller but I really think its neglible and I like the look of the ceramics on my upper teeth. I rarely ...

I often used to check patients eligibility for ortho coverage, as long as it was a week day it was done within minutes usually - either over the phone, or by recieving a fax from the insurance company. Definitely no need to wait three months. I would definitely check back with the ortho, I feel they...

If it helps at all, although, I was 26 when I got my first expander, and full fees with no insurance was $1200 for the appliance and there were no charges for office visits or anything. I didn't have ortho insurance at that time - I do now, and had to pay an additional $1300 to meet the $2500 part o...

I also experience a lot of pain when getting my upper power chains changed - it really is quite excrutiating! I have now gone for colored chains, so that I do not feel like I have to change them so often! I would definitely talk to your ortho and see if they are prepared to swap them out for you nea...
