Re: Uneven bite after using retainers. Braces again ??
I am in the same boat. When I first started wearing retainers, they felt extremely uncomfortable/tight, then once settled, I noticed my bite/alignment became off. I agree that you need to go back to your ortho to get advice. Mine ended up trimming more than half of my bottom retainers off, putting b...

Re: NEW member (in PAIN)

Re: ok, I've got options. Which way should I go?
I'm in my retainers now which is probably very similar to invisalign where I have to take them off for eating and drinking anything not water then brush and floss, wash them, before putting them back on. the pain to take them off just for a tiny snack is much worse than wearing braces in my opinion,...

Re: can your arch still change with retainers in?
While some "settling" of teeth post braces is normal, what you're describing sounds unusual. I would contact my ortho asap and get things checked out. All the Best, Jethro
thanks for the reply! i just scheduled with my or...

can your arch still change with retainers in?
Hi, i got debraced about a week ago and have been wearing my retainers for about 21 hours every day. however, i've just noticed that my bottom arch has shifted. i wore braces to fix my mild underbite and to widen my arch. after braces, my top teeth cover my bottom teeth just a bit, which is nice, an...
I've had essix in the past when I was a teenager and grinded through 3 sets. I then asked about Hawleys which worked great for me however I broke mine and the ortho office I went to was no longer in service. Fast forward 10...

Re: Do your black triangles change size during the treatment
the black triangles appeared between some of my bottom teeth at one point during the process, but few months down the road, they are much better and almost not visible. before braces, i had mild crowding and a slight underbite. my ortho said the gaps are normal while the teeth are still moving/settl...

back up Essix?
I'm getting my braces removed next week, and decided to go for clear retainers. my ortho office suggested me to get 2 sets of Essix at once since they break more easily. They suggested at once because they can give a discount if we get multiple sets at once. How many years do Essix retainers usually...

Early Braces Removal (Fully Corrected) / Refund?
So when I first got my teeth examined, I was told that I need 2 and a half year time to correct the slight underbite and make the arch more beautiful. I'm only a year into my correction and was now informed that I will likely be done in another 5-6 months. That's about 1 entire year off of the origi...
