Yeah I think you are fine with most things. You obviously can't get a properly fitted mouthguard with braces though, because each time your teeth move it will no longer fit. I play softball and was given a loose fitting mouthguard which was so uncomfortable I never bothered with it. The main issue y...

My 1st thoughts were also pink.. I think it's a great idea to stick with the theme of the day!
I do believe pretty much any colour (within reason) will go with your dress though, so anything you feel comfortable with will look great.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I find it strange he would say 4-6 weeks. I usually get told the exact amt of weeks... generally 8, but sometimes 4 or 6 (all depending on where I'm at I guess). But if for some reason he is on a conference the week I'm due to go back I always pick the week before i...

My teeth must be real stubborn! I've had powerchains from near the beginning of my treatment (2 and 1/2 yrs ago) and sometimes doubled up on each arch.... My 4 extraction gaps are almost all closed now. I've been assured by my ortho that they will be when I go back for my next adjustment on Feb 13th...

Hi Kim, That's terrible. I can imagine how angry that would've made you. I think I would've pretty much exploded if someone said that to me!!! Only advice I can give is to ignore her.. it sounds like jealousy talking. Just keep thinking of how beautiful your teeth will look when they are done. The o...

Yeah, lucky for me I haven't had an adjustment where nothing at all has been done. The power chains have been changed every time at least.
Oh also - elastics are can be used at various times in your treatment depending on your particular needs. So there may be hopes for you soon!

NotBob1 --for the quotes, I just cut and paste lines from other people's posts and then highlight and click the "quote" box when I am writing a post. (Does that make sense?) For instance, anything can look like a quote because that quote command just adds the html for the box or whatever....

No, you aren't alone. I thought I was strange because of that also.
I guess it's because we know each appointment means we are one step closer to getting them off.
Plus for me there's the fact that I live in hope i'll be getting something new!!!

Krist take care with what brand and ingredients you're using coz toothpaste shouldn't be hurting your mouth like that. The listerine teeth defence really bites my tongue ... but as instructed by my ortho I rinse with it every night ... I did used to include mornings, but more often than not I give ...

It can depend on how far the teeth are out of alignment. Usually they just need a bit of tweeking to move to the correct spot. Then I wait until the last 4-6 months. If they are really out of position, then they get banded earlier, like in the first few months. Randall Sorry to bring up an old post...
