Permanent retainer is making me angry! Please help!
I am getting myself so anxious about my permanent retainer, today I looked in mirror and saw this white line on the edge of my permanent retainer, I’m unsure whether this is plaque or a chip in the glue holding the permanent retainer. If this was a small chip on the edge of the glue should I be worr...

Left retainer on hot windowsill
After wearing my retainer in the night I take it off, brush it and then leave it on the windowsill anyway today it was really hot and I picked my retainer case up and it was really hot, I opened the retainer case and my retainer was only a little warm but my main concern is it may have made it warp,...

Re: Can’t bite down with retainer
I'm not sure what retainer you have -- I have the Vivera hard-plastic type, and need to remove it before eating -- and yes, I think if you bit down hard you will damage the retainer. Take it out when eating or drinking. Best of luck to you. Hi, thanks for your reply :) I have an Essix retainer, i h...

Hi this morning I brushed my teeth and bits of glue come off the back of my teeth, is this just the residue from having the retainer fitted? Thanks

Re: Can glue on brackets become weakened?
Try a waterjet. Started using one on my first round of braces, as I found flossing and using the small brushes too time consuming, and never stopper using it every day. Hi thanks for your reply, I have a water flosser but hardly use it, but think I will try to use this as an alternative to using in...

Re: Can glue on brackets become weakened?
I feel like the more careful I am with my brace the more I seem to accidentally catch or pull on my brace with my interdental brushes, it’s so annoying, is there any alternatives to interdental brushes? Thanks

Re: Can glue on brackets become weakened?
I don't know. But in my 5 month experience with brackets coning off 8 times! They are either stuck or break off. Don't know if that helps. Hi, thank you for your reply, I found this helpful, I am always super worried about damaging my brace, especially since I am near the end of treatment I just wa...

Can glue on brackets become weakened?
Hi I should be getting my braces off soon but still have a gap so once that is closed the brace will finally be taken off, as I’m near the end of my treatment I am constantly worried about damaging my brace and causing a delay in getting my braces taken off. Yesterday I was kind of in a hurry and wh...

Re: Elastic loop come of braces
Hi thanks for your reply, I’ll try putting it back on if I can’t ill leave it until my next appointment, thanks again!assertives wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 3:46 am I usually put the loop back on myself. I use an interdental brush to help me with it. That said, I don't think having it off a bracket or 2 would make much difference in 2 weeks.
