My springs have wire ties around each bracket with a spring attached to it. I have 3 springs on the lower teeth so 6 brackets had to have wire ties. I wanted color on the bottom but could only get them on 2 teeth. I got one black and one blue. It took 2 assistants to get the springs on and twist the...

I was having the same problem. It was harder to get it to stay when I was drying it first. I started not drying anything and just put it on the pokey part in a little ball then put my lip over it and kind of smush it down with my lip. Hope that makes sense. It's hard to explain. That way it doesn't ...

They look great! I'm glad you've got that over with. 4 hours is a really long time. I didn't have molar bands so I guess that helped to shorten my time in the chair. I was done in 45 minutes.

I have only had my braces on since Thursday morning and I can tell I have some new space between a couple of teeth when I floss. You can't tell by looking at them only when I floss. I was just telling my husband that I went to floss between two teeth on my upper left and it just slipped right in. Th...

Good luck tomorrow. I just had my braces put on last Thursday. It wasn't bad at all really. I was scared but there wasn't any reason to be. I took an Advil about an hour before I left. I think that helped. For most of the first day there wasn't much pain at all. That gave me time to get used to the ...

I'm glad it's going okay for you. I was interested to see what you had to say about the Quad Helix expander because my 7 year old will be getting one. Most likely he will get his this summer. I'm trying to give him little bits of information about it beforehand so he is prepared.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a bad experience. My wisdom teeth were extracted almost 20 years ago and I still remember the pain of dry socket. It's no fun :(. It sounds like the worst is over for you now. I hope it's smooth sailing from here forward. Good luck.

Nice to meet you Lin. Your blog was very entertaining. I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I think this group will help a lot. It always helps to know you aren't the only one going through something that really scares you.

Best of luck to you! Do it when you feel you want it done. I wouldn't worry about the extractions and teaching. You could just explain to them what you are having done if you want to stop any speculation at the beginning. I would go ahead and start right away if that is what you want. Don't let othe...
