I promise you that what you are feeling is normal and it will get better. The second day was the worst for me and then it was all uphill from there. Each day was better than the one before it. After the 1st week I felt much better then after 2 weeks it was even better.
Hang in there!

I think you should definitely discuss it with your ortho again. I don't know if that is normal or not but I would not be happy with it. Your teeth look great and you can't even tell the spaces are there in the overall picture. I know some people have both bonded retainers and removable retainers. Ma...

Before I had braces I used it for a little while and thought it was making me lose my sense of taste so I stopped for two months. I tried it again and it did the same thing. It made my tongue feel like I had burned it on something hot and the sense of taste went away. Thank goodness my sense of tast...

That would be so funny. Drive-thru orthodontics! Good luck, I hope you get things fixed. Other than that, how are things going? I know you and I were braced the same day. Everything is going well and I can see improvement already. I updated my web page today. The link is in the www below. My adjust...

Yikes, missing lig
I just had my 3rd adjustment yesterday. Just now I was flossing and noticed that there is a lig missing on one of my molars. I don't know if it was there and came off or if the assistant forgot to put it on. I am assuming this warrants a call to the ortho on Monday? Has this happened to anyone else ...

Kelly's Brace Journal
I just had my 3rd adjustment yesterday and it was pretty eventful. I've updated my web page with pictures and the summary of what happened. Here are a couple of comparison pictures... http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/4585/jan0363nb.jpg Day 1 of braces. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4746/web14wk...

Good luck! I hope that they can get your open bite corrected quickly. Your teeth will definitely be sore at the beginning. After a few days I could tell there was improvement every day after that. I was only miserable for a day or two. That mouth thing you will have to get later doesn't sound like f...
