I live in the UK and have Damon 3 braces, I have crowding but haven't had any extractions. I've only had the braces on for about 2 months, but already my arch has widened and started to create space for my wonky teeth. My ortho uses Damon, ceramic, invisalign and of course traditional metal braces. ...

I'm getting married in July, and will be wearing my braces. I won't bother getting them taken off and put back on again, because I hated having the brackets stuck on and don't want to go through that again in a hurry! I will just get the photographer to have a go at editing the pics, or if not just ...

I've not had any extractions :D but my ortho hasn't totally ruled it out, he is just fairly confident that he can do the job without extractions.

I ordered a tube of Brace-eze and had the same problem, it was really hard to squeeze out of the tube. I didn't like using it at all, I much prefer traditional wax.

I'm interested to read this thread. I haven't had extractions, my ortho says he is pretty confident he can get my teeth sorted without extractions but that he may rethink a bit further down the line. He hasn't mentioned about slenderising any teeth though, think i'll ask him at my next (first!) adju...

I'm not sure whether it is ok to use a mouthwash with alcohol in it or not, but I just thought I'd mention that you can buy alcohol-free fruit flavoured ones in the kids range.

I am 28 (nearly 29!), live in the UK and have braces. At my ortho's, at least two of his assistants have braces on their teeth and they must be at least 30. Also, I was buying a pair of jeans the other day and the woman serving me said that she was getting braces soon and asked me a few questions ab...

A friend of mine is having orthodontic treatment on the NHS, and he is 30, but he has (had) severe bite problems and needed jaw surgery in the first instance. I'm not sure how long he had to wait though. Another thing with the NHS is that as far as I'm aware, you don't get any choice in the type of ...

My teeth feel pretty loose at the moment, it is very strange. I noticed last night that one of my lower teeth (first biscupid I think?), if I press it with my tongue, makes a popping/clicking sensation and moves

I've had my braces since 10th Feb and I can't see any movement yet. I can feel things happening, my bite has changed everso slightly, but nothing visible so far. Last night one of my lower front teeth started to feel tender, so I hope that means it is on the move!

Again, I would say best have an open mind and see what the orthodontist recommends. Thats what I did, my orthodontist uses all types of appliance but in my particular case, he felt he could get the best result from using Damon brackets so thats what I went with. If he'd said another type, I would ha...

Thanks for your replies :D I went to boots today and obviously they didn't have it, and I nearly went to Superdrug afterwards but thought 'nah, they won't have it if boots don't' but nevermind! Will try there tomorrow, thanks! And thanks for the link to healthcheck pharmacy, will certainly order fro...
