For UK people - wax
For all UK people, where can I buy some dental wax from? I only got one packet/container thingy of wax from my ortho when I got my braces and It is running out now :( my ortho is an hours drive away so I wondered where I can go to buy some - do they sell it in chemists? Would my normal dentist have ...

My ortho uses all types of brackets (well, as in Damon, clear, metal), but for me he said that the Damon braces would get the best result without having to have teeth out. No teeth out is the main bonus for me! I've had my Damon 3's since last Friday, and they haven't caused me much pain and aren't ...

I had my braces on last Friday and i'm doing ok. I never had pain as such, just tenderness when I bit down. My molars aren't really sensitive at all now but my front teeth are. I have a couple of sore patches that I'm using wax for, but other than that I am fine, I can talk ok, and I have pretty muc...

Thats great that the female ortho will do that! And typical of a man not to understand  I'm getting married in July and have just had my braces put on, but I really hated being in that chair for so long having the brackets put on, I don't fancy going through that again?! And also I think my or...

Hi Inert :) I too had braces fitted on 10th february, and I've also got Damon 3's upper and lower! So far I have the odd bit of rubbing, which the wax is helping, and slight tooth tenderness but nothing too bad. I've got molar build-ups, which feels pretty weird, i only have two pairs of teeth that ...

Congratulations! I got my braces today too, upper and lower Damon 3's. I've just managed to eat a takeaway curry, although half of it got stuck in my braces :? but nevermind! Front teeth are a tiny bit tender now, but not too bad. tomorrow will be different though I think..... They built up my molar...

zuccamori - my ortho says that I might need to have some extractions down the line, and if so it will be the wisdom teeth that will come out, so I think it must be pretty normal. I've had one out already and it wasn't too bad, so don't worry. I can't believe that this time next week I will be gettin...
