Hi Fran1988, I am having my orthodontic treatment on the NHS. I am now having adjustments every 6-8 weeks, but after my top brace was placed I had about a 9-10 week wait. They seemed to do this as standard, and the idea I got was that it was to give the teeth time to settle down before adjusting. Th...

Thanks for all the tips everyone!! I have finally been able to use the waterpik comfortably by putting it in my mouth. I guess if you hold it closer you have more control over the mess and it has a less powerful shot. I was holding it so far away the spray was like a water canon!! Thanks, ...

Hi AVFC_UK, I had nearly the exact same problems as you with my extractions. I developed 3 dry sockets and infections (I was antibiotics for ages and had the dressings!). Also on the top fourth tooth I was having removed the root snapped and has remained in. I know it is the worst pain that I can th...

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I think I just have a waterpik waterpik, if that is possible?!? It had two different nozzles for different strengths. I am using the dark blue one which is supposed to be weaker. My gums don't bleed when flossing so I think that you might be right and maybe I need a pik wit...

Hi, I have been having problems using my waterpik too. I have had it for a while but it hurts and sprays all over the bathroom so I give up. :( I would really like to use it and was wondering what the best way to use it is? Like how far to hold it away and whether to turn it on before or after posit...

Hiya, As my teeth have moved I too have noticed a stain on my tooth where it was covered by another. I am not sure that it is the same thing, but it only shows when I look close in the mirror and assume that it is there because I was previously unable to clean this area well as it was covered. I hop...

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I am at University with braces and have absolutely no problems. No one has ever mentioned it except my close friends who obviously asked how it was when I got them on. I even forget that I have them now. So I really hope that you wont feel that you have to put ...

Hiya, I am an adult in the Uk and I got my braces about a month and a half ago. I am 24 with full metals on top, and soon to be bottom. I have found that most people don't really notice it at work or University, or if they do then they don't mention it. The only time people really say something is w...

Hi,
I find it so hard to pick up orthodontic supplies in the Uk, even dental wax, so I was just wondering if anyone had used this site and what it was like?
