I'm so sorry to hear that Sink, we have to be extra patient. I think that when it will be all over, we'll enjoy everything more, debracing too

Re: "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" - Robert Hunter, Grateful Dead

twedledee, where are you in Italy? What is it like for you being an orthodontic patient there while the country is on lockdown? My husband and I were in Venice and Padua in early February (part of a larger European trip we took to other countries). We got home Feb. 10th. As you know, there wasn't a...

Re: "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" - Robert Hunter, Grateful Dead

Thanks Sink for your thoughts. Orthos and dentists in general should take appointments just for urgent cases, and fortunately I'm fine :) let's see how it goes. It is just another simple aspect of our lives being affected by this emergency, I will smile with my new teeth when it'll be all over :jump...

Re: "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" - Robert Hunter, Grateful Dead

Geez, I try to remember to grab my little squeeze bottle of hand sanitizer during this “wash your hands constantly and don’t touch your face” coronavirus situation. But I forget — a lot — and it’s putting a serious dent in being able to pop out elastics right before a meeting or to replace them as ...

Re: Social Anxiety...

First days in braces I was so self conscious about them, making myself uncomfortable for no actual reason. After the first month I have stopped caring...just like that. Some people are very sweet and shares their experience in braces with me, other ones are brutal in their comments, but they are not...

I'm writing from Italy, just around the corner :D
I've found this waterpick: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01IR4 ... 1LFWOXUHT8, it's very cheap!

Re: Embracing the braces

I was thinking about getting a waterpick too, my teeth aro so close together that I just can't clean them right. I am considering a portable one, it's quite cheap and I think that can be useful to bring with me or vacation. My ortho has never mentioned it, I have the next appointment in two weeks an...

Re: Embracing the braces

Hi Braceyourself666, how are you doing? after a couple of weeks I'm eating almost everything and also biting into something soft (like some fruits). My front teeth are still quite sore, but it doesn't bother me so much, mainly because I can see that they are moving! I have compared my before braces ...

Re: Embracing the braces

I'm having the same soreness on my front teeth, I think because they ad are the most overcrowded. I have some space from my wisdom teeth extraction, we'll see!
Let's keep in touch :jump:

Re: Embracing the braces

Hi Braceyourself666, we are the same age and we are starting this journey together! I've put my top braces on 23th of June. I also have a severe overcrowding, and I have chosen clear on top and metal on bottom. I still feel the brackets pretty bulky, right now I can't tell if they are worth the expe...

[quote=EmilyTravels post_id=502909 time=1529801413 user_id=30228] You will be sorer tomorrow and the next day than day 1, but gradually things will get much better. It truly does get easier. Pretty soon braces just become a part of life, and you don't notice them nearly as much except for a couple o...

Re: Braces at 34

Hi everyone, so the today is the day, my top clear braces are on! Just 6-7 hours have passed, so far so good. The process was not painful at all and it has lasted about an hour. I'm not in pain, I just have a slight headache and I feel mi incisors tender, bus it's just a mild discomfort. The bracket...

Re: Braces at 35.

34 and getting braces on Saturday! I'm so nervous, also because I've had a bad start with the molar rotator. I'm also getting clear on top and metal on bottom (in a couple on months), wish us all luck!

Re: Braces at 34

After a rough start (my mouth totally rejected the molar rotator, It was honestly the worse disconfort in my life), I'm gonna get ceramic upper braces on June 23. I really wish that this time things will be better, I really need to feel positive about this long braces journey :?
