My friend was also worried about them and her ortho said they were strains too. Very important to keep on top of the health of your teeth!

Don't be too worried. This has happened to me many times when I had to wear power chains. Since you're out of town you'd be better off waiting until your next appointment :)

Man, talk about bad luck! A mouth guard might be a temporary solution although be sure to research them. Hopefully your teeth don't move too much. Did your teeth undergo a lot of changes?

I know how you feel! I'm having a few issues with my bite at the moment. It feels really uncomfortable at times and imbalanced. Have you told her about it? Definitely bring it up during your next check up. I'm certainly going to in mine

I also had a tongue thrust problem and I have managed to overcome it by being mindful of keeping my tongue on my palate and retraining my swallow. I took small sips of water to rapidly drill this.

I should of had them when I was 14 on the NHS in England but I misplaced my referral letter and left the issue. Ended up getting private treatment and had my braces in at 21.

I'd say at 10-12 months was when things really looked different for me, with elastics and all.
