After almost five years, my braces are finally off! I went in at 9am, but they didn't get started until 9:25! Talk about antsy! Yuck, the receptionist said the doctor would have to look at it, and as he's only in on Tuesdays I have to wait for my appointment.

I'm set to get my braces off next Tuesday, but there's a small gap that just formed yesterday between my two front teeth! Has anyone had this experience? It's a tiny little gap but a gap none the less! ACK!

Will it go away with retainers?

Sorry for my absence for so long, but I've come bearing great news! At my last check up I was told that after almost 5 years my braces are ready to come off!

September 19th is the big day, and I'm so excited!

The last 3 adjustments have been every 4 weeks instead of 6, and each time a new powerchain was applied to the top. The bottom arch is still another story, but my top arch is looking stellar! I think I'm getting close!

Zooey is awesome. I love how she talks. Her tone. She's cute too. I've actually been told a few times that I look like the guy in the pic next to her, Jake Gyllenhall. I don't know though... is that a good thing? Zooey does have that cute look about her. And yes, resembling Jake is a good thing.

The only thing you can really do is express your concerns and think about how they will look when you're all done!

After 4 years in braces, that's about all I can do hehe.

Hopefully, after my third attempt with a spring, I will finally get the same results you're seeing! I still have to wait a week, though.
