I’m finding myself doing the safe thing since I got my braces. I wouldn’t grind or clench my teeth before I had braces and now I wake up with my teeth clenched. My teeth are sore because of this and I don’t want to waste away my teeth.

Thanks for the advice y’all. I’ll have these on anywhere from 2-2 1/2 hoping for sooner than better. I’m hoping no one notices too much, since I’m moderating a conference on Thursday.

Thanks for the reply, it’s been really helpful. I’ve been debating whether to buy a Waterpik or not, but it’s seems like it’s worth the investment.

Restarting this old post because I feel the same way. I’ve had my braces for about a week now and i can’t stand to look at my face right now. I’m also super embarrassed to take to people, I find myself covering myself when I speak.
