Hi there!
I'm actually moving to Australia soon, and will probably be getting bimax from the land down under.
Anyways, hope you're feeling better! The swelling will take its time but, if anything, it will give you time to adapt to the "new you".

It's comforting seeing how many people above 20 are getting braces. I might join the fray pretty soon!

Re: Beware "Holistic" Dentists
Decent advice. I think some patients are just passive and take whatever their doctors say for granted, even if they don't understand the reasoning behind it. They assume that they just "know better". And, in all fairness, they probably do. However, as in any field, if you are unable to exp...

Re: Adult palate expansion and face pulling
I've recently had a consultation with an orthodontist who claimed that all non-surgical expansions in adults are unstable. For what I've seen online, the results are non-existent. The few widely circulated befores/afters that depict tangible changes seem very suspect (in regards to camera angles, li...

Re: Poll: At What Age Did You Get Your Braces?
I think I'll probably get mine when I turn 29. It seems that I'm headed for double jaw surgery.

Re: What to expect at a first visit
I think what most people don't ask is: How to prepare for a consultation? Does anyone read/study/research any material beforehand? Did that information help you make more informed choices about your treatment? If so, how do you typically go about preparing (whether for an orthodontic or facial/jaw s...

How to fix bimaxillary protrusion + maxillary excess?
I'm a 28 year old male that has both bimaxillary protrusion and vertical maxillary excess. I believe the protrusion is both dentoalveolar (upper teeth slightly tipped forward) and skeletal (protruding jaw bones). The protrusion itself is likely a consequence of bad oral posture and mouth breathing d...
