I think it depends on your evolution. My surgeon said at a minimum 3 months.

FWIW, my eustacchian tubes fill up pretty frequently, and I get the similar 'hearing heartbeat' effect. Totally unrelated to surgery, but thought maybe something to think about.

Checking in here. Had surgery in early June. All the visible swelling is practically gone. Not pleased with the result however :/

1) I will add that the children's version of acetaminophen was quite helpful, since I could use it in a syringe.
2) Ice mask.
3) Gauze. Lots of it.
4) Soylent for nutrition.
5) Calendula flower, as an anti-inflammatory.
