Flossing permanent retainer
When I got my braces off, my ortho glued permanent retainers to each tooth on my upper and lower 6 as well as 2 removable. Lol at least I know my teeth are going nowhere. The only trouble is is that is that I can't floss it. All the tutorials band such are no use even with super floss! The issue is ...

Getting used to not having braces
Hi :D How long does it take to feel normal after getting braces off? I just got my braces off and I know that it feels a little weird after getting them off but all day I've been licking them and they feel slimy. And wow, they feel so big too! I'm finding it hard to look at myself in the mirror. I l...

Re: Weird Question....
Don't worry!
If you Google it you'll find out that this is a sign on a natural resting position. It will reduce wear on your teeth and your tongue will help maintain your upper arch.

Re: Help with puffy gums and braces
Thanks for the help so far! I’m beginning to believe that my body is not cooperating and there is little I can do. Has anyone else been in the same boat? The puffiness really sneaks up on you

Re: Scared to get White Spots...
Hi there! I don't believe white spots are anything to worry about. As long as you practice good hygiene and see your dentist often should should be OK. Your dentist should be able to see any spots and will warn you. If you do get spots, its not too bad. There are a few products out there like "...

Re: Help with puffy gums and braces
[quote=Heidirs post_id=504895 time=1538614578 user_id=29606] Out of curiosity, do you brush under your braces at the gum line? I had the problem with my gums receding, and when asked the ortho assistant about it, she said it was due to brushing under the braces. She said most people end up with puff...

Re: Questions about Partial (Upper Only) Braces?
Hi there! I think it depends how your bottom teeth are and how your bite settles. Most brackets come with hook attached to them already but If you otho does plan to dit your bite, they might place lower braces on. I know many people have just got upper braces because upper teeth are most visible alt...

Re: Help with puffy gums and braces
Thanks for the reply, I don’t use a waterpik, I always thought they were a bit expensive. I’ll look into it though! It seems like they aren’t as irritating as floss as they may be useful post treatment.
Thanks again!

Help with puffy gums and braces
Hi, I’m new to this forum and I’m still learning the ropes. I have had Damon braces for a little over two years and I believe I’m getting them off soon although I have a few issues. After about a year of having braces, I noticed that I had puffy gums. My Othodonist didn’t really care so I got an opi...
