Re: Why is my palate always in incredible pain following Sarpe?
I'm really sorry to hear about your surgery issues :( I know palate surgery is very different from impacted wisdom tooth surgery but, but if you were in the North Bay California area i'd suggest you to speak with Dr Matt Wetzel who can likely refer you to another excellent surgeon. He removed 7 of m...

Re: Weird Question....
I'm currently wearing a herbst device, but as I have allergies, i do hold my jaw a little slack when my nose is stuffed up. I'm not a professional but when you close your jaw do your lips meet? if so you have nothing to worry about. If you're getting your bite corrected, as I am doing as well, you w...

Re: Help with puffy gums and braces
Waterpick definitely! Also if you decide to get one (highly recommended) I place mouthwash in the reservoir. I currently have some gingivitis and the pick really helps resolve it. I'm also looking at this on amazon. Not sure if it will help but well it's rated decently. https://www.amazon.com/gp/pro...

First time Braces, 39 now 40
First sorry for the quality of the images. They use hardcopies and I'll try to scan when I get a scanner. But hopefully you can see the really great progress thanks to my orthos. The actual procedure started around January of this year, iirc. https://postimg.cc/njSWvFhN https://postimg.cc/w33Z9mWz h...

Re: Regrets?
None whatsoever. There is pain, don't get me wrong, but this is the best decision of my life. Got them at 39, am 40 now. Look like a different person. However, I am very different from you. I had grinding, severe overjet and protrusion with overbite. A convex profile and a requirement of a herbst de...

Re: Getting braces for the 2nd time because of protrusion
Hey there, I can't show pictures as I'm new but I had a far worse case than you yet it is being resolved resolved by an excellent ortho. I had a convex profile with an 8mm iirc overjet, teeth grinding, and protrusion. I needed 7 teeth extracted and it would have been a nightmare for a typical ortho....

Re: Damon Braces: Why aren't my extraction gaps closing?!
I know this sounds like absolute quackery but I had protrusion in my lower jaw I spent a lot of time daily literally pushing my teeth in with clean fingers on my gums near where the roots should be. I ended up having my gaps nearly fully closed several months ahead of schedule and the ortho was stun...

Re: Rude things people have said to you
I told a former coworker that I was getting braces and immediately she said "good for you" indicating that I needed them badly. True, I did have a serious convex profile and I had a severe protrusion but I prefer a neutral and supportive response. regardless, yes I look better but I prefer...
