Re: tandem appliance?
She had mentioned it as a possibility. She mentioned like 3 different ideas she had. My expander is working really well, so I don't know if that means my bones are fully fused? I don't know, I'm not an orthodontist and she's the only one around in this rural area. What would be the best to fix an un...

tandem appliance?
So I have my braces and expender on. But I have an underbite so my dentist/orthodontist is thinking a tandem appliance might work best for me?
I've never met anyone with one and can't find much about it. If anyone has advice it would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Headgear tips
I know a person who is also wearing headgear after some molar extractions. She seems pretty content wearing hers. She wears it around the house etc. She said after awhile it felt better to wear it than to not. So there's that piece of mind for you. She looks fine with it in and jokes about it, keepi...

Re: First day of expander and splint
Let us know how it goes. There has been a mixed response on palate expansion in adults. They're going to try an expander in my case also

Very interesting treatment. I'm in a very similar situation. Glad to hear an expander works on adults

Isn't it crazy the huge list of things you can't eat? Possibly the worst part of it all haha. And you should be happy. You convinced me, I'm getting my spacers installed today to make room for braces.

That is super fast progress! I can't believe that's only a couple weeks. How long of a time line did they tell you for a total?

Re: Braces for 44 Days!
Super glad someone has headgear! I don't have my braces on yet, but the orthodontist said she would really like to try headgear with my case. So I'm on the fence... How is yours going so far?

Re: Treatment persuaded others?
I'm looking at getting orthodontic treatment cause of my teeth are still moving somehow at 24. It's crazy. I have a co-worker who has braces and that does make it easier to take the leap. Haven't started yet though. I am concerned about treatment though, not really looking forward to being the 24 ye...
