Re: Why are wisdom teeth extracted?

In general, orthodontists and dentists judge whether or not there'll be space for all teeth, and it tends to be that the "normal" age for braces is before wisdom teeth, so I guess dentists don't want to take a chance and have anything that would create crowding in an already tested mouth. ...

Re: Bite off/ teeth not lining up

What's your ortho's point of view? I have one that's very good at communication, and she led me to expect some shift in the bite. She told on the first appointment me that my bite was good (except for the front teeth), and then when presenting the treatment plan, I was told that the bite would need ...

Re: Can Damon Braces expand the palate of adults?

Hi meginsaw, I'm currently 11 months in Damon treatment for crowding (mostly lower teeth), and I definitely feel more space in my jaw, and this without extractions (still have my left 2 wisdom teeth). First time braces at 37

Hello, I've been looking at this forum for a while and it helped a lot with making a decision. I'm a 37yo man and I've had metal braces for 9 months now to correct my crowding (mostly on the lower side, but one of my top front incisors was quite rotated). I've had no extractions, which surprised me ...

Re: Seriously? Bracket fell off already - 2nd day

Don't worry! It happened to me twice on the very first day, and never again. I had my braces put on in the morning, and I chose the softest thing from the work cafeteria for lunch. I lost three brackets on lower (pre) molars at once. Went back to the orthodontist, they put them back in, with a thinn...
