Re: Unbearable Tightness 9 months post genioplasty
I wanted to chime in with my experience, I had MMA surgery and a sliding Geno 11 months ago. My chin is still really tight although it still feels like it is improved my but so little. My surgeon said if would take a year but it feels like I have way more healing still. Or I hope I do, as I don't wa...

Re: Unbearable tightness in chin
I had the same procedure done as well along with double jaw surgery for sleep apnea. I am at 11 months and the chin tightness continues to get better. At 6 months it was still extremely tight. Still a lot of numbness though and very sensitive to cold. Not looking forward to dropping temperatures. Ae...

Re: Has Anyone had Plate Removal?
Waking up during surgery sounds terrifying. I'm wondering about my upper plates. I had double jaw surgery for sleep apnea. Almost a year post op and one plate feels twice as big as the other. I assume obviously they are the same size.so why would I feel one as much larger than the other? I initially...

Re: Soft foods post-surgery
I didn't read all 8 pages but I see some posts mentioning protein powder. I was going to go that route during recovery but wanted to try and ensure I hit more.nutrient requirements. Soylent or holfood are a couple of options. I went with holfood. The powder on its own didn't feel that filling so I a...

Re: Reversing Maxillomandibular advancement surgery
Thx for the reply. I've read about uppp and the success rate and pain concerns me. I think I'm accepting the fact that CPAP will be in my future. The inspire surgery has my interest. Did the surgery work for you? Were you pleased with the outcome? I haven't spoke to my surgeon yet but I can just ima...

Reversing Maxillomandibular advancement surgery
Hello, I had MMA surgery and sliding gyno surgery on my chin for sleep apnea. Prior to surgery I had 23 apneas per hour (ahi) and post surgery a home study showed 1.5. I am awaiting results from an inlab study. Even though my apneas are resolved I continue to sleep just as bad as pre surgery. The ho...
