Serious Question
Hey everyone, I haven't posted for a really long time, but I used to read these boards a lot and I thought I would come here and ask for opinions or answers once more. I had palate expansion surgery back in 2007 and had my wisdom teeth removed before being braced. Paid the oral surgeon ~$7,000. Got ...

I had SARPE last May, braces on since last April...I really didn't lose any weight in the beginning, probably due to smoothies (icecream, potatoes, etc.) I only lost weight when I was employed a few months after surgery in retail and was on my feet all day, then 10-15 lbs. just dropped off like nobod...

ortho gave me a snaggle tooth
Seriously. I'm 30, went through SARPE, have been braced for one full year now without any issues/problems, etc. Suddenly, though, my left front tooth is about 2mm lower than my right front tooth, and it is causing problems. First off, he stopped my elastics (to bring my upper bite forward) two month...

relocating to different state while braced
I haven't been a very active member of this forum but have gotten heaps of knowledge from it, from the time I was anticipating SARPE and getting my braces installed. Sorry I havn't been more active. So...I am coming back to this forum now to ask a very serious question : I may be relocating out of s...

I think it's different for everyone, but for me I started noticing changes a couple weeks after I was braced! I'm only two months into being braced now after SARPE surgery but HUGE changes have occured already, my bottom teeth are almost totally straight, my right incisor that used to stick way out ...

Aw, hope you feel better quick Beth! I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at the same time as my SARPE surgery last month...I think the worst part of my story was having the wisdom teeth out! It seemed to me that most of my swelling and bruising stemmed from that procedure and not the surgical expansi...

I had SARPE done May 2nd, and I took three weeks off work. My company considered it a leave of absence under my short term disability benefit, so I was paid 100% for the first two weeks and 60% for the third week. I honestly could have gone back to work the third week, my swelling was down considera...

Twinkie, just wanted to say congrats on your surgery and its success, and good for you for having a great attitude and sense of humor about it. I really think that goes a long way as far as recovery. Hope you're still doing well! Btw, I had SARPE and all 4 wisdom teeth removed May 2nd, I was able to...
