I have one tooth on the bottom row that has started to wobble a little bit when I press on it quite hard. I only noticed this because the tooth moved a little bit, I say moved, but it didn't really move into a better position, just a little squinter :? And I was surprised as I haven't wore the brace...

Don't feel so bad, it get's easier with time, in a week or two you will feel better, I didn't think I would, but I did.

I had two upper teeth removed a few days ago aswell, and I thankfully felt no pain at all after the extractions.

I have had the TPA on over a week now and I hardly notice it's there, even when eating.

Finally got some wax too, I need to put on quite a big blob, also it isn't really re-usable since it breaks up when you roll it with your fingers.

Hello everyone, thanks for the advice, I should be able to get some wax soon, also I hope that when the brace is fitted round the TPA it should even out the protruding sharp bit.

Interesting, nice to see the pics of the braces just after they were fitted as on leaflets etc, there is usually just a few pics of the braces on straight teeth.

I don't have a brace yet, but the sharp hooks from the TPA rub both sides of my mouth terribly and cause much pain when I move my mouth, I haven't tried wax yet, what is it like?,what else can I do to stop this, and others please share your mouth ulcer stories, thanks. Also, I did a "Search for...

Just got a TPA fitted now I soon get 2 teeth out, I hope I won't be in much pain as the TPA is bad enough.

Your story was very interesting to me, I have just got an upper TPA and I am very depressed I find it so difficult to eat/swallow food. I thought it was just a temporary thing till the brace was fitted but now I know it is not.
